Lord knows, multiple complaints have resulted in nothing but the city collecting it’s building permit fees.

Can you please give an update? Nothing has changed here. Scaffolding is still up, broken glass and construction debris still litter the front and back yards.

Awful, awful, awful!!! What is the use of this website if nothing ever gets FIXED? Residents are doing their part to report dangerous issues...what are YOU doing, Mayor Sheehan and staff? This whole system is a useless joke. All they do is "assign" it or say to the owner, "uh, hey, fix this but oh, by the way, if you don't fix it, we don't do anything, anyway". For shame for making residents live day after day, week after week, Month after Month next to dangerous, deplorable eyesores. Tell me, Mayor Sherhan, Rick L and Josh G...do YOU have to live in these conditions????

I doubt if. Allegedly, the property owner has already been fined. It is cheaper and easier for the property owner to keep doing what he is doing and (possibly) pay a minimal fine if the City ever bothers. This poor owner who keeps having to write in has suffered with this crap for months. Go ahead and drive by the address..it's a joke.

We have cited for violations. We have spoken to the owner and the contractor. When we re-inspect we will send the case to court if they have not complied. They legally have time to comply before that can happen. That is what we can do by law. We have been very responsive and have not neglected this issue at all. We are the codes Department we don’t make the repairs or clean up for them.

How long do they have to comply? I was told that they were cited the last time it was reported and this case was then closed here. I had to start yet another “issue” to report that the situation has not changed.

This was initially reported in December 2018. How long before they are “taken to court.”

We have our re-inspection in 2 weeks. I also just left a voicemail to the owner hoping I can push a little bit. I have also contacted DGS and asked them to go post a 5 day notice. This will allow DGS to post the property and come back after 5 days and clean up the debris and bill the owner. We are trying all that we can to get compliance.

Thanks so much. We really appreciate it. This has been going for so long it is a miracle a kids hasn’t ended up falling off the scaffolding or getting stitches from the broken glass in the front yard—now buried in nearly foot high grass.
