crack dealing all over this CITY. Believe it or not its A LOT better than the 1989-1996 period. The cops know whats up they just dont have the resources if they bust one theres then 2 on the street. Its a lot harder than just "cracking down" they come out of the woodwork . if your a yalie you shouldnt be living there.
The crack dealing on this street is not unlike a McDonald's drive-thru. All you need to do is drive down the street, roll down your window, place your order & pick it up. Sometimes you might have to pull over to the side and wait if they're not quite done bagging it up. What are the police doing about this?
“Open Air” Drug Op Busted

A 3-year-old watched as police raided an apartment on Chapel Street and, they say, busted an “open-air” drug-dealing operation.
The raid took place Saturday afternoon around 4:25 in the 1300 block of Chapel Street in the Dwight/Kensington neighborhood following an investigation by the police department’s Police Tactical Narcotics and Street Interdiction Units.
The police obtained three search and seizure warrants and proceeded to arrest six people for allegedly intending to sell marijuana and crack, possessing drug paraphernalia (a scale with cocaine and drug-packaging material), and sale of narcotics. Lt. Jeff Hoffman announced the arrests Saturday.
The two people arrested in the apartment with the 3-year-old (one of them the child’s mother) were also charged with risk of injury to a minor.

Agreed that there is a serious drug and prostitution problem here and has been for years.
Why can't the police just crack down harder and put it away for good if its so concentrated in this area.
