Deskripsyon

A new left turn lane has been installed on Rockville Pike just north of Montrose road with a left turn arrow. It is a barricaded left turn lane in that there is a curb separating the left turn lane from the main roadway. Cars heading North on Rockville Pike are stopping in the main travel lane to make a left turn because of the curb barrier. The drivers are waiting for the left turn arrow to turn green even though they have a green light to go straight. There will be accidents. There needs to be a sign that says "No left turn from main roadway."

Although the left turn lane is barricaded, motorists heading North on Rockville Pike and motorists entering Rockville Pike from Randolph Road do not seem to realize they need to be on the left side of the barricade to make a left turn. I still see motorists stopping in the left through lane to make a left turn. There is no signage that says turn left only from the barricaded lane. Why is a barricade even needed?
