Description
This vehicle has been sitting outside 1226 and 1228 NE 152nd St since August. It moved once — from its location within 5 feet of the driveway at 1226 NE 152nd St to its current location in front of the house next door to 1226 — in mid-August, and has not moved since.
The vehicle is obviously non-functional and abandoned. It is an eyesore, and it needs to be towed.

Thank you for contacting the City of Shoreline. We have assigned service request number CRM18-001149 for our Customer Response Team to respond and investigate.
Please let me explain Customer Response Team’s involvement in abandon vehicles. We have an agreement with the Shoreline Police Department to tag an abandon vehicle with a 24 hour impound notice to move the vehicle. If the vehicle does not move than we refer the vehicle to the Shoreline Police for follow up. The Shoreline Police then tag it with their 24 hour impound notice...if the vehicle fails to move than it is reviewed for towing and will be towed as time allowed. That decision will be made by the police. Customer Response Team may be notified of the resolution.
The vehicle is owned by one of your neighbors. Once the vehicle is moved the file is closed.
If you have any further questions please contact us at 206-801-2700.
Thank you.

I know that abandoned vehicles are a low priority of the police. However, this vehicle is still abandoned on NE 152nd St. Is there an ETA on when the police will contact a towing company?
Abandoning vehicles is not an activity we want to encourage on our street, and that fact that this car has been junked here for over 5 months encourages that behavior.
