Here are the details for the open trench at Lynn Road and Valley Estates shown above from Mark Williams. As of this morning the hole still has not been addressed by the city. The owners of the retail shopping space probably have the liability. But it was one of the phantom franchises who dug the hole. The is a substantial collection of equipment boxes at that corner. Most recently the "painter's advertisement sign" has been moved and trampled by the last set of franchise workers.

It is the same bunch of thieves operating in the same general area. The City of Raleigh does not seem to be able to control/monitor is collection of franchises. May be it is time for a bigger hammer:
