Is this a private mailbox? There isn't a whole lot the City can do if this is a private mailbox? Maybe a note to the resident or a call to the Post Office would help? If we are not understanding this issue properly, please let us know.

It is not a private mailbox. It is a package box that serves the neighborhood. The Post Office said it is not their responsibility.

Thank you. We now have more information on the package box. It was struck by a Ramsey County plow truck this past winter. It is in the Ramsey County damaged property claims process and the City's Public Works Director is staying in contact with them to facilitate the repair.
