Descrizione

The State Boat Launch in Branford,Ct This boat launch needs repairs before someone gets hurt or killed. The road that leads down to the launch has pot holes as well as the parking lot. The pier that is there is falling apart. The ramp that leads into the water has a deep dropoff (hole)Something has to be done ASAP

This ramp is the worst. It used to have two piers but one fell down so rather then replace it they just tore it down. The other pier is starting to fall apart. The ramp is too steep and at the base of the ramp there is a large drop off. The ramp is almost unusable at low tide.

Hence the sign, "do not use at low tide". Just be careful. Use common sense. I use the ramp weekly, and more often during the summer. No problems. The road leading down to the ramp? It's a dirt road. Again, be careful. Slow down a bit. Enjoy the day!

Having posted this problem and getting a answer fromt he DEP saying this problem was going to be fixed !!! Guess What Nothing has been done. I usde this boat launch last week and it is still is of repair. mark my words someone will get hurts due to the State's and Branford fault of not doing anything. Wonder if anyone from the state even went to see what a rat hole this state owned boat property is turning into !!!!

No this problem hasn't been fixed seems the state has other things to do with the money it gets from boaters fees. This boat ramp has alot of users. It would be nice if someone from the state DEP took a look at this boat ramp or till someone gets hurt and then maybe something will get done. I think the state needs to address this problem soon.

Undate 05/24/11 I was at the boat ramp on Tuesday. The grass was being cut by the Branford Public works Department. Good Job Guys. The road stills has a few holes that need to be patched. This whole boat ramp area needs to be done over !!! Someday maybe ??????

Again I was down at the Branford Boat Launch a couple weeks ago and it still in terrible shape. Part of the fence leading down to the launch fallen apart. This has made for a quick exit and is tearing up the lot. Why can't something be down with this launch. Our tax money is not being used. To those using this launch be careful. The road has pot holes and the ramp leading down into the water has a deep hole on the right side below the water line. Hope by the Year 2012 something gets done with this Stae Boat Launch." Tomorrow will mark the 3 yr anniversary of this issue being reported. Guess what? It's still not fixed.

Good news, this issue is being addressed. $1 mil will be used to renovate entire area. Spring 2015 completion date is expected.
