i think a little paint should solve the problem - nothing too drastic offered as a solution

This has been a problem for as long as I can remember. What needs to be done is to have what people suggest-- a left turn only and a right turn/straight ahead lane. No additional road needs to be built, paint really would solve this decades old problem.

The one downside with this is that you do limit the ability to put parking there on the south side of the street, but it would only be 2 or so spots.

Any word on plans to mark this better?

The opposite (and less pressing!) side had a left turn signal added in the last year. Getting rid of the lane merge and putting in a left turn arrow in the street seems like a no-brainer. This intersection definitely can bring out aggressive driving as people jockey for position to make the merge.

I thibnk it should be a left turn signal the way it is on the oposite side. At night if your coming South it will stay red on Olive St. for 2 to 3 times before it turns green again.

I agree that this intersection is a problem, and could be fixed with some paint and perhaps a new sign.

Why not have the south lane a right turn only lane? I believe this problem was created so that buses could turn onto Olive. Buses do not need to use Olive anymore.

I am pleased to say that this can now be closed! Left Turn Only arrows have recently been added to Chapel Street. Thank you!
