You are right, but the map icon is misleading but maybe applies to the area marked also.
As I think you say, going north on State, left lane should be "Left turn only" into Ridge. Right lane should be marked as thru traffic with a straight arrow for State Street traffic only
(Now you can't do more tham guess which way left lane traffic, ia going)
Similarly, where the map indicates , many cars make quick left into Dunkin Donuts drive-thru. Should be marked if possible to avoid confusion.
Same location at Drive=thru exit, trucks often (or the same jerk many times) use the handicapped ramp as an exit directly into traffic rather than following the easy egress from the drive thr, clearlyu marked out to State Street
(This could be easily fixed by installing a post to prevent unsafe exits, or even easier, just requiring DD to put a trash container in a location to prevent vehicle egress, while leaving the handicap ramp clear).
Attn: Hamden Help Line, Curt Leng, or new 6th district Councilman, and probably, CONNDOT as State St is CT Route 5
These problems will be magnified by the imminent opening of the new CT Transit Barn a couple of hundred feet north of the intersection
