This actually extends to 29 Court.
I called and after a long wait the operator said I was the first caller. He said that I could not report a street power outage even though I saw this and informed him that my neighbors were outside, that there were no street lights on, and that the street was entirely dark. He said that other neighbors need to call so please hang on and wait for them to answer.
Also, this should not be the case. An individual should be able to report a power outage.
We should investigate if this needs a more permanent solution. This can't continue on each very hot night.

Janna, I wonder if the procedure was really that, or if it was an overloaded phone operator who didn't want to do the paperwork for a blackout. It might be worth calling back again today to ask them.
The issue with wooster square might also be that you have the school and a few other huge buildings like smoothie who might be using excessive amounts of power.

I definitely plan to call back and get more information. It seemed wrong given the fact that their automated message says: If you are calling regarding a blackout your neighbors probably already called.
Olive Street is fine. I agree that Court Street is overloaded and probably needs to be looked out and fixed formally. It will continue to happen if it's not fixed permanently.
