This is correct!! Trains idle all night long. They are loud and seem to start running more at night time. Sometimes they sound like they crashed, so we are awakened many times through the night. I live on Somerset St close to Richmond St and it is becoming a nightmare with all the fumes that we are breathing. Chemicals are being transported in these trains, so it is very risky living in this location. Also, the Bus company next to the trains also emits fumes all day with idling buses. It does not have proper zoning but was allowed to just open up a business there and nothing is being done about it. We are constantly sick with upper respiratory infections, so some action has to be taken soon. This area has to be the noisiest and smelliest area in the city. I wish someone would come out and check the air quality to see if we are breathing in higher levels of diesel than is allowed by law. The combination of I-95, the trains and the bus company are giving us a very poor quality of life. I am looking into information regarding idling buses, and trains.
