Intersection of OH 174 and 84 needs a light, especially for those traveling north on 174. At certain times of the day there may be as many as 20+ cars waiting to make it out on to 84, especially if most are trying to turn left (west). It is even worse in the winter since you are sitting on a steep incline.
The other major problem with this intersection is that when there are two cars at the top of OH 174, one turning right and one turning left, neither one can see if there is a car coming from either direction on 84. Very dangerous!

Additionally, there is no signage to indicate which of the stopped cars (on SR 174 and Willoughcroft Rd) have the right-of-way once the cross traffic has stopped. I was taught in driver education classes many years ago that the cars on a main street or highway (SR 174) have the right-of-way over cars on a minor street (Willoughcroft Rd.). This seemed to be the rule that was followed on this hill until more recent years. Can anyone clarify the rule about right-of-way in a situation such as this?

Additionally, after the cross traffic has stopped on Rt 84 there is confusion as to who then has the right-of-way (Rt 174 or Willoughcroft Rd). I was told by my driving instructor many years ago that roadways and highways always have the right-of-way over smaller streets such as Willoughcroft. This seemed to be the rule followed until recent years. Signage or a traffic light is desperately needed at this intersection. I pass through this intersection 2-4 times every day and see many near accidents.
