I agree. The intersection of the Stop and Shop entrance, Putnam ave, and Walgreen's is often chaotic. I can't count the number of "near misses" I've seen there.

Just close these drieways or install a light and enforce traffic laws.

Something is definitely wrong here. A big thing is poor visibility due to poor placement of driveways to both stop & shop and walgreens. The other thing is poor driving and people not knowing how to deal with a challenging intersection and take turns (something a 3 year old knows how to do). Thirdly, this is a challenging intersection for pedestrians as well. Civil engineering should follow the patterns of life. There is no crosswalk where people actually want to cross - they need to either take the trail bridge or walk all the way up to dixwell.
