With the historic amount of snow we have had in a 24 hour period, digging out as a community has taken much longer than we would have liked. DPW continues snow removal and road widening operations, LCI has been delivering snow shoveling warnings, and 203-946-8221 is still the number to call for assistance with storm related questions and information. The city’s website provides current information: www.cityofnewhaven.com

Understood! The Route 34 connector is a major artery into the City, Rte. 1 is key to access to the Green & 9th Square. There is frequently a back up to Rte. 34 during a.m. community hours -- with no plowing done whatsoever in that spot, major slowdowns / backups will continue. This is not road widening -- no plowing whatsoever has been done to this short stretch of road. Thanks so much.
