There is an abandoned van with expired tags, almost a year past due, that has not moved in several weeks, if not months, from this one spot. It has three flat tires and the owner, a resident in a home across the street from where the van is parked, just waits for the metermaid twice a week every week, talks to her and she lets him keep it there without citing him for not moving it for street cleaning. If he moved it she would also see that his tags are way past due for renewal.
As a resident on the block, this van is an eye sore.
We have already had people defecating next to the van and doing drugs next to the van because it creates good cover for people looking to engage in these illegal activities.
I want the owner of this van held responsible for moving his vehicle and making it road worthy and legal. The rest of us are ticketed and held to these expectations, why isn't this guy? It's an outrage.
