Wow who came up with this idea. It has to be one of the dumbest things I have seen in my 17 years of commuting around Metro Detroit. Hot Tar mixed with tons of loose gravel on a hot day. Sounds like are real good road driving condition. Gravel is all over the city now thanks to this move. Why not do a lane at a time and close the loose gravel lane. Anything would have been better than this. Another great reason you cant own a nice car in Metro Detroit, the roads ruin everything.

Does Washington go down to 23 Mile Road??? I travel Callens past 23 Mile through baker onto Washington and over to 26 Mile Rd everyday and have not noticed gravel - are you talking about where construction was at Washington and GREEN STREET near downtown New Baltimore?
