No, because, frankly, I feel like I did my bit. In addition to creating this post, I posted about it on FB, where about a zillion of my associates who are in this neighborhood all the time saw the FB post with the SCF link. If anyone had any clues, they'd've passed the SCF link along. It's been weeks. Whoever's missing this ring has probably moved on with their life, as have I.

You raise a valid point. However. This is a ring worth, in dollar terms, maybe $20. I really don't think it's worth this much effort and nitpicking. Had it been a diamond ring, I'd've taken different action. Had the person who lost it posted flyers downtown saying "I lost my ring that my mother gave me on her death bed please help" I would have noticed and responded. None of this happened. It is an inexpensive silver ring someone lost. It may have had some sentimental value, but evidently not enough to warrant the owner's making any effort to find it. SO. Please stop trying to guilt-trip me over this. You're making me regret having tried to be at all honorable in the first place.
