This issue should not be closed, last weekend the barbecuing continued. In addition, on Sunday morning, the trash and leftover were very present including the barbecue coals. The police nor Park Enforcement Patrol did nothing to stop it.

Would you kindly provide a more detail explanation to why this issue was closed. I don't understand what was written. "The barbecue area was moved to its present location specifically to accommodate this same resident. "

If this comment was directed to me, I never asked for the barbecue area to be placed in the present location of Morningside Ave between West 114th & West 116th Streets.

I want is issue resolved as well. the fuel fumes and the charcoal smoke fills my apartment. my son has a respiratory ailment which is not helped by these fumes. this can be easily resolved by prohibiting grilling in the narrow areas of park.

The trash and music from the barbecuing is out of control. I cannot even walk my dog through the park during the day as in the morning its filled with trash and during the day the music and smell of smoke is overwhelming. Please help!!

I understand what you're going through, but I think my problem hits closer to home. Literally. My building shares the same courtyard with the building next to mine. Every weekend since Memorial Day, the tenants from that building has been barbecuing there. All the smoke and fumes goes directly to my apartment. I live on the first floor and my son also has asthma. I called 311, their management and my landlord and it seems like it's going on deaf ears. I'm preventing animosity and angry words between us, but if nothing is done about this, I'm afraid it's going to get ugly. What else can I do?

This issue has not been resolved. The Parks Dept. is not enforcing the barbecuing in non-designated areas. Park users can barbecue in any area of the park including by the pond which has already been compromised by other issues.

The Parks Dept is doing a poor job under the current leadership.

Parks Dept has banned barbecing from entire southern of park which includes the area near your apartment.
