When traveling west on Drake in the bike lane, it ends at Memorial Pkwy so that when you get out from under the overpass you are over where the bike lane was and not 'taking a lane' because the cars that were traveling alongside the bike lane aren't aware that you suddenly have no lane did there is merging traffic from the turn lane from Southbound service Rd going west onto drake.
The bike lane should get you through the underpass and merge lane prior to ending. And/or use sharrows to indicate that bikes use the lane too.
