Thank you for submitting your concern. The City of Big Lake is aware that the driveway and parking pad are still against City Ordinances and have been working to get the owner to fix the issue. The owner has pulled the proper permit for the work back in July. Per the conditions on the permit, some or all of the parking pad will need to be removed to meet setback requirements and the driveway can be no wider that 24 feet for the first 20 feet starting at the curb. There is a required inspection after all work has been completed. Check back for updates on this issue.

They pulled up property stakes

This property owner was already sent a fine and told to apply for a permit. As we have not heard from them in several weeks they will be receiving another fine. The second citation is $150. Additional citations will be set at $300 each.

The City has been in contact with the property owner. The driveway will be modified to bring it into compliance with the our ordinances by no later than April 15th.
