The intersection of Cedar St. and Main St. needs a stop sign or traffic light. Traffic gets very backed up as people wait to turn left from Cedar to Main. I've seen many near-accidents as people try to zoom through in the brief pauses between cars.

I agree, this is a very dangerous spot. I usually go out of my way to go around this spot, but sometimes it is just too inconvenient. I think that there should be a traffic light here.

People who are turning left should use the left half of the lane (common sense and common courtesy). Too often people pull their cars wide to right and create and unnecessarily long line of traffic because nobody can get around them to the right. I would hate to see a traffic light by our beautiful library because of something so silly. If it is really a pressing issue, they could widen the road enough to have a left turn lane and right turn lane. This would prevent light pollution.
Also, I totally support blinkers.

I would hate to see a light there but maybe stops signs there and change the light on Monroe/Main to stop signs as well to keep traffic moving

Traffic light would cause to many problems. The lane is not big enough to share 2 cars. The biggest issue I have is being able to see around the cars that park on the street by the library.
