I actually don't use that area any more - very sad we pay such high taxes and can't even enjoy the area.

We take our sons there often and it's always a mess. The fault lies in the people who throw the trash out there, but why is this area not monitered? One late afternoon this past winter i was down there and there was an guy, in hos 20's smoking and drinking on the slide. I had to ask him to move so my 3 year old can slide down. It's unfortunate that some parts of town look this way, but we need more areas monitered and unfortunatly we may need to do the cleaning up. There is only so much the city can do.

go up to the top of the slide area with your kids and read what is on the inside...I taught my son to read just recently and he won't be going up there anymore after I he read out loud the profanity on the inside of a childrens' slide...ridiculous people are everywhere, mainly teenagers who just don't know better, but considering West Haven is the "Best place to raise a family", its the town's job to monitor and paint over or clean it. Don't claim to be such a great town if you can't back it up Westies...
