Description

The speeding on this street is out of control. It's a long, straight side road so people see it as an open road - and travel like it's a main road...There are a few offenders but it's something several of the folks in this area are complaining about. I often work from home and it seems that anytime of day, cars can be reported going at least 35 - 45 miles per hour. It happens in the late afternoon the most, it seems.

There are a handful of families with small children who live here but within the 3 or 5 houses just near mine, are older folks in their 60-90's who have dementia. Along with other older kids who walk to and from school each morning and afternoon.

I guarantee if there was a cruiser parked on this street for a day, 10 tickets would be issued for speeding. There are no speed limit signs and the 2 "Slow - Children Signs" are either faded and knocked over. It will take consistent "speed traps" and a few speed limit and other signs to do anything to change the behavior. If 25 miles per hour is the limit typically, it needs to be posted.
Other than that, two families on this street have lawn signs but they only work for those who already drive slow.
Please - These neighborhoods need to be safe. I beg of you to please do something.
