Description
Again today, I was walking and nearly hit by a car turning from southbound Grand onto Wildwood as their light turned green and they jumped the light to turn left in front of the 5-6 cars lined up driving N/B on Grand. The driver then proceeded to tell me to "F** OFF" (he had seen I was walking and decided to beat me too). I was too stunned to get a plate. Black Audi A6, white male driver around 65 years old with glasses (if anyone in the neighborhood knows who this is, please punch him in the face for me).
This turn needs a red/green arrow that allows families to be safe when crossing this extra-wide, dangerous intersection.

A lady did this in front of me today, so I followed her to get her license plate, and was able to flag down a PPD officer. When I explained what she did, she approached us, called me an A**HOLE, and said that she needed to pick her kids up at school.
These are the excuses people make for themselves. Until we have stepped-up enforcement, or better enforced signalling, this will continue to be an EXTREMELY dangerous intersection.

I was #2 in line at this left turn today when the person in front of me jumped the light and made a left turn in front of traffic and almost hitting pedestrians with the new WALK signal.
I followed her to get her license plate, and was lucky enough to flag down a Piedmont police officer with her present. When I explained to the officer what she did, she approached us, called me an @#$%, and said that she had to pick up her kids at school. That’s not an excuse to put everyone else at danger!
Until we have either stepped-up enforcement, or better signalling, this (and many others) will continue to be a super dangerous intersection.

Yet again today, I was nearly hit by a car turning left off S/B Grand onto Wildwood. Not only di
d the driver tell me to "hurry up" crossing (I was running sub-8 minute miles), he then proceede
d to taunt me chasing after him. What the hell kind of design and policing is the city doing whe
re drivers feel comfortable acting like this? The Wildwood crossing is a death trap and nothing
is being done about it.
