vassar street has alot of abondand cars, thats what you would think...i live on the street also....but what is happening, is this....i have called a couple in....what happens, is they get some kind of notice, they come to the car, move it, and then just leave it until they are notified again...there is also a gold lexus, no sticker on that street, someone just moves spot to spot....good luck
Thanks, Charlie. I agree that Vassar seems to have a lot of abandoned cars. I am going to continue to ask for them to be towed. If the owners move those cars when they receive notification, good. If they get a lot of notifications and it becomes a hassle, then they will consider parking elsewhere. If everyone on our block works together on this, discusses it with the civic, and with Councilman's Jones office, perhaps we can get this fixed. This is why Vassar should be included in the new permit parking plan. Frankly I'm very annoyed that it was left out.
To enter a ticket for the abandoned vehicle we need to know how long the vehicle was there, the color, make, model, the condition of the vehicle, (if it is driveable), and also the police district. Thank you for your assistance.
It's been there for a week and it is blue. The make, model, and condition are all listed above along with the license plate number. This is the 5th district. Don't you have maps of the police districts? Obviously given that we have an ongoing problem with vehicles left here, don't you think the city needs to be a little more proactive?
