Description

Drivers are not respectful of pedestrians crossing Encinal at this intersection. Installing a painted crosswalk would help remind cars that pedestrians have the right to cross corner to corner even when no painted crosswalk exists. Many use this intersection to catch the bus at Santa Clara and Morton. A painted crossing may also help the traffic/ped conflicts people are frequently experiencing in front of Jays 1/2 a block away - again reminding drivers this is a neighborhood with families that is pedestrian friendly, not a freeway.
