Description
Would love to see speed bumps installed in the Delbrook neighborhood. We have numerous of kids in the neighborhood and there is a constant issue of speeding vehicles every single day, and when I say speeding I don't mean 20-30mph I mean 35-45mph. It's to the point that I don't even let my kids play in the front yard anymore

Data the City collected a number of years ago indicate that the volumes on Delbrook do not meet the minimum volumes needed for the installation of traffic calming, however, we will perform new counts to collect volume and speed data. We will also schedule Delbrook for the radar speed trailer which is coordinated with LPD for speed enforcement.
The City has transitioned to a new citizen engagement platform, Lansing Connect, which can be found on the City's website at https://www.lansingmi.gov/1371/Lansing-Connect. As such, we are no longer actively monitoring SeeClickFix.

The City collected traffic count data on Delbrook, which show an average volume of 210 vehicles per day. 85% of the traffic was traveling 27 miles per hour or less, which is at the lower end of the range we would expect to see on a neighborhood street. At the moment, Delbrook does not meet the requirements for traffic calming, which require a minimum 85th percentile speed of 35 miles per hour and 500 vehicles per day.
