Description

The button for the pedestrian crossing signal on the southwest corner of Whitney and Edwards streets frequently doesn't work, even if it beeps and the red light flashes when you push it. (Someone just passing said that it never works.) Pedestrian crossing signals are useful only if they ALWAYS work and if they don't keep you waiting too long. Otherwise people just ignore them. This crossing signal keeps you waiting for a very long time, and if after that long wait it still doesn't work, nobody is going to wait to see if it will work the next time.
