Description

I reside at 1134-90th Ave-Oakland Ca. I am experiencing
on going plumbing issues due to a huge (City owned tree)
that is located about two feet from the water meter. In April
I returned home to find what looked like a lake in front of my
home. Water was shooting up from the sidewalk. I immediately called EBMUD. A rep came out and turned the water off. I was without water for several days until a plumber was able to come and assess the situation (incident occured during the weekend.
The main waterline from the street to the house was the culprit.
The plumbing company replaced the line with copper piping;
noting the tree roots damaged the pipes and made the repair job very difficult. To make a long story short, I received my new water bill on 12/06/2016 and a note from EBMUD that my water
usage is excessive; 41,140 gals, compared to normal 3,000 to 4,000 gals usage. I reported issues with this tree years ago, While re-sodding my lawn I discovered huge tree limbs in the middle of my lawn, traveling towards the foundation of my home.
Also, the sidewalk in front of my home has been replaced due to
damage caused by this tree. I have a huge water bill that I'm
faced with and on-going plumbing costs that's posing a financial hardship. I am a senior with a fixed income and limited financial
resources. Please send someone out to evaluate this tree situa-tion, ASAP.

Thank You,
