You should probably call OPD directly, (510)777-3333. They can arrest him for indecent exposure, as well as possibly creating a safety risk to himself and others.

I'm not sure... but 'he' may be a 'she'. Regardless they should be arrested. I seem to remember chatter about a woman exposing herself and 'mooning' folks.

Thank you for the information, but I believe OPD already receives non-emergency posts (as indicated on the "Notified" section). Notwithstanding, having returned home, it appears the individual is no longer around. However, there is a lot of trash on all corners of the intersection (area rugs, hand truck, blankets, garbage, and general debris). Therefore, before her likely return, a 1/2-hour clean sweep of the area would still be greatly appreciated as soon as possible. Thank you for the consideration.

Well I give up. Homeless wins. Rotating door policy for Oakland. They pick her up, clean her up, provide new tents, suitcases, etc., from which she destroys it all, throws it everywhere, leaves the debris in her wake, police pick her up, and it starts all over. In the meantime, trash piles up, and the people that provide her food to throw at cars and that create trash to litter in our area (not theirs), backpacks to swing at people walking dogs and mooning parents and their children, never come back and to pick up after her. They only drive up, hand her stuffs, and feel they made a difference. Studies have proven time and time again this "feel good" moment does not remedy the issue or help the homeless. In the end, it is the communities' fault, not the homeless. When they do what they do, it is not for the betterment of the homeless or the community. Crime increases, wellness decreases, property values fall, and tensions rise. Goodbye Oakland, thanks for not even trying. I just need to know where I can get some free tents.

I'm sorry you feel this way and realize the frustration... but keep trying... or move back to the suburbs. There are those of us who have chosen to call Oakland home... and work to make it better. It can be very frustrating... but at least we are not in Nebraska!

Most likely there won't be a response. Never heard from either one of them on a homeless encampment we complained about. Great job city leaders
