Description

This past Saturday afternoon I was walking down Goffe Street while worker was blowing leaves from the new Yale University lot at the corner of Dixwell and Goffe St. These leaves were being blown off of the parking lot and onto the sidewalk on Goffe Street.

While rather inconvenienced as I was holding my two-year-old and pushing a stroller, I had to walk onto the street for this to be passable, and the worker surprisingly did not stop blowing leaves as I walked by.

I didn't think much of it at the time - there's really nothing else he could do and I assumed that the leaves would be picked up after he was done blowing the parking lot.

However it is now Wednesday and the leaves are still covering the sidewalk on the entire side of the parking lot making it very difficult to walk on, and making it impossible to get by with a stroller. I hope that Yale University will do its job to remove these leaves from the sidewalk for the betterment of the community.
