Permit is for remodeling the interior, however there is more than that going on. There is outdoor work being done and an addition being built onto the house. The rear wall of the house has been moved and the house has been gutted. This is an attached house and it is causing damage to the adjoining property. Contractor told neighbor that damage to their property is to be expected. they are going to remodel the attached house. Neighbors have nothing in writing ensuring that damage to their property will be repaired by contractor.
