Deskripsyon
Large trucks delivering goods to the Wawa between Lombard & South on 2nd St routinely leave engines idling. This happens daily, especially at night, often very late at night into the morning.
The noise is overwhelming to those of us living above, and the emissions should not be ignored. We have called and spoken to managers in the past, but as soon as we stop calling, the noise and pollution resume.

Hi to everyone who has complained about the Wawa issue.
Well, in a last ditch attempt to get this resolved, I called the 3rd district police department. I wanted to see if they could station an officer there overnight, but they are not able to do that.
They assured me that the best thing to do is call 911 to report it. Then, they will send an officer down and write tickets to the offenders.
I know its not the most systemic solution, but if a couple drivers get tickets, word might spread.
Good luck!

911? Really? Won't they consider this over-reacting? It is true, though, that calling th
e local PD has not been helpful.
