Thank you, Josh, for submitting this request. The Michigan Park Citizens Association has worked tirelessly to reduce horrific vehicular speeding in our neighborhood, particularly on South Dakota. Traffic calming (such as speed bumps) is the responsibility of DDOT. Also, please submit requests for speed cameras on 18th St. to MPD staff in charge of the speed and red light camera program: lamont.hinton@dc.gov and Michele.molotsky@dc.gov. or Michele.molotsky2@dc.gov. Unfortunately, DDOT will be required to conduct traffic studies before committing to any traffic calming measures. Keep the pressure on these agencies to respond to your very valid concerns!!
