Description
There are a group of trees planted in an ellipse in the park. Near the toddler play ground there is one that is obviously diseased. It seems to have a patch of drooling fungus on the bark. The patch has a very strong odor. I'm sure a tree specialist could diagnose and treat this.

The Zelkova has wetwood or Slime flux. Affected trees with slime flux generally survive with no treatment. The tree will be monitored to assess progress.
