thanks for letting me know what you see. I will contact the parks department to get the trees trimmed back. I have also been in contact with Lt Hassett about the incidents in the neighborhood. I have also talked to Chief Redding about additional presence of officers in the community in general and put an emphasis in the 23 ward...Please contact me if you need further information.

This has already been reported to the parks department & trees. We are awaiting the department to send out the tree truck.

With the warmer weather, the loitering is becoming incessant due to the shade and "privacy" the trees provide during the day on the corner of George and Day streets. In the evening, this part of Day St. is very dark and provides the perfect opportunity for illegal activity because it's "hidden". The residents are becoming very uneasy and nervous and the activity is leading to garbage, drug paraphernalia, and broken bottles all over the street. Not a day goes by that we don't pick up little baggies and alcohol pads on the sidewalk...this issue needs to be fixed. Light needs to shine on this section of Day street and the comfort it provides loiterers needs to be removed!!!!!!
