The traffic light at Marin and Metro Plaza is an excellent example of how walk signals at traffic lights at major intersections should be programmed - when a pedestrian presses the button for the walk signal, they get a walk signal and all other traffic has red lights. No one can make left or right turns, no one can continue straight, everyone has a red light. Christopher Columbus and Washington, Christopher Columbus and Warren, Christopher Columbus and Marin, Christopher Columbus and Grove, Christopher Columbus and Jersey Avenue, Christopher Columbus and Varick / Coles, Christopher Columbus and Monmouth, Christopher Columbus and Brunswick should ALL get programmed in this fashion. I imagine other intersections throughout Jersey City would benefit pedestrians if they are also programmed in this fashion.
