On October 5, 2016, starting at 4pm and going until at least 6pm, as part of National Community Policing Week, the US Attorney's Office is partnering with the New Haven Police Department, community members and the Yale New Haven Children's Hospital's Injury Prevention Program for "Cops & Ballers." The event begins at 4:00 p.m. at Edgewood Park and includes a bicycle helmet giveaway, a bike ride around the park and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament. There will be facepainting, family-friendly activities, food trucks and more. All are invited.
