说明

Every day between appx 7:30 - 8:30 AM, Northbound traffic on Harrison Ave is backed up at the traffic light at the intersection of NW Cary Parkway. The reason why? Because the light turns green for North bound traffic for a mere 30 seconds. This light should be green for no less than 75 seconds. With 30 seconds, "maybe" 10-12 cars get through the light before it changes red, while 40 to 50 cars are backed up on Harrison all the way back past the Reedy Creek Road intersection. The entire light cycle at this intersection is too short. A longer cycle during morning rush hour would make all the difference in keeping traffic flowing. It seems this kind of jam exists all over the town of Cary. Light cycles make absolutely no sense especially in this case. Does anyone "ever" go out a study the traffic patterns and jam areas like we did "in the old days"???
