Following the provisions of Chapter 40U of the Massachusetts General Laws regarding housing code violations, the Town must notify a property owner of a violation and allow two weeks to resolve the issue. If, at the end of two weeks, the owner is still in violation, daily fines are assessed. Unpaid fines are placed as a lien on the property. Regardless of these procedures, there is no guarantee that the homeowner will comply and the Town may not enter onto private property to maintain it. This issue has been assigned to Code Enforcement for review and an update will follow shortly. Thank you for your patience.
Could you please state a address as to if it is Liberty Street or is it Allen Street. In order to enforce this I have no pertinent information to contact the responsible party to enforce complaint.
