Public Facilities assigned this issue to Board of Health

Good Morning Mr. Ross: Thank you for your concern at Heart Pond. Yes, the Board of Health weekly tests both lakes (Freeman as well) and the results have been extremely low for Heart Pond as is usual each year. If there is a concern, i.e., high bacteria count, the Board of Health immediately closes the lake, signs are posted and all the proper personnel is notified as well as notification posted on our web site; www.townofchelmsford.us In reference to the portable toilets; they are emptied and cleaned each Thursday according to the Town Manager's Office. However, if there is a concern before Thursday, residents will notify the TM Office at 978-250-5201. Please contact the Board of Health at any time with concerns you may have around our town.
