Thank you for contacting City of Huntsville Traffic Engineering. The department of Transportation, ALDOT, is currently in an active road project that has reduced the number of lanes at this intersection. Some intersections have been closed south and north of Byrd Spring that has increase the volume of traffic at this intersection shifting to Byrd Spring. Due to the increase volume and reduced lanes, the intersection is experiencing some capacity issues. We have monitored the intersection, made all necessary timing changes to accommodate the extra traffic on the side street, and determined that that intersection is working as programmed. We thank you for your patience during this construction phase.

This has been going on for months. Just leave an hour early to get to work (sarcasm) I sit thru 3 or 4 lights every morning. it takes me longer to just to get onto the pkwy than to get the rest of the was to work on goss rd.
