The question now is, what is the replacement plan? A bunch of the trees along Hughes Place are due to be cut down also, which is pretty sad because of how beautiful the trees make that little street.
I'd hope this is already in the works.

All of the trees on Artizan Street were infected with Emerald ash Borer. (There has been news coverage on this, deadly to ash trees, insect.) The important thing is replanting street trees.
We need as citizens and taxpayer to make sure that there are adequate funds to replace dead and dying trees and to care for living and struggling street trees.
The trees on Hughs Place that are being removes are dead. They will certainly be replace with similar cherry tress. Replacing old dead trees is happening because of the commitments of neighbors.
