Thank you for your response. I'm a bit confused, is Marin blvd under the light rail's jurisdiction? It would seem like a jersey city street issue. Is there a light rail office for the city. I'm concerned that this request will get lost in a bureaucratic shuffle.

The south side of Morris Blvd is still a private roadway. Marin Blvd is a City street however the intersection because of the Light Rail track is under their jurisdiction. We will follow up with them and let you know the outcome.

Is there an update? Anyone I can speak to about this issue? Hopefully before someone gets in an accident?

I recently spoke to someone in NJ Transit who said they are not responsible for pathways next to the lightrail or the street/curbs. Who did you speak with? Is the Mayor's office content with this being the only path in downtown not in compliance with the ADA?

Any update on a ramp?

While we are still on that topic of this corner. Can someone put a trash can here? The Boys and Girls Club kids and the St Peters kids take this pathway and throw their trash along the path. Trash cans and Ramp seems like a pretty simple request that has been going on for now 8 MONTHS!!!!!

This is still an ongoing issue. Just two days ago I witnessed a very unsafe incident that involved a child in a stroller flipping to the side, while I was crossing the street from the other side with my son I a stroller too, while we helped the parent/guardian right the stroller the light turned red with a bunch of us in the middle of the street as the pathway was blocked. At the end we all were fine, but if there was a ramp there there would not be an issue to start with. I understand the answer here seems to be "not my problem/responsibility" from all sides, but note that this is the only pathway that connects liberty Harbor, Marin Blvd light rail station and the marina to Paulus Hook section. We need the city to step up to find a safe solution. Thank you...

We have a contractor that will be building ADA compliant handicap ramps at this location next week. Thank you.

It's been a month since the engineering stated a contractor has been hired to fix this issue and still no ramp and NEARLY A YEAR since the issue was first reported. This corner as a complete safety hazard with the light rail, a traffic light and stop sign all giving way to large construction vehicles. I'm all for Jersey City expansion but at what price. WHEN CAN WE EXPECT THIS ISSUE RESOLVED?

Our Director has sent a formal letter to NJTransit demanding that they bring the ramps on their property to ADA compliance. We had a contractor ready to complete this work but called the contractor off when we realized it wasn't City property. We are in discussion with NJTransit and awaiting dates they will complete this construction.

JC Engineering - First of all thank you for following up on this issue. This has been an ongoing problem for us living in the South West part of Paulus Hook for many years and it has been on an open request for over a year. Please keep pushing NJ Transit on the subject and get this done. It is not only a matter of convenience, but a matter of safety, especially with the population and traffic explosion with the new construction that is taking place near the Marin Blvd light rail station...

The City's Law Department is addressing the necessary repairs with NJ Transit. This is not City property or jurisdiction because it is located within the NJ Transit Rail Right of Way.
