The outfall pipes are completed covered and blocked with sand. Please clear the beach outfall pipes at Seagate and at Spinaker. Thank you.

The City of Virginia Beach has resolved this issue

I don't know why you keep saying this problem has been resolved. Beach outfalls at Spinaker, Seagate, and Whaler are completely blocked and are not cleared. We have been experiencing flooding on Ocean Shore all year because the storm drain is completely blocked at the outfall.

FYI, I did not make the original complaint. I'd never say that about anyone who works in PW Ops. Am I understand that the outfalls will be cleared soon? If so, thank you! Tough problem to solve.

I made the original complaint two months ago. There was a pump truck on Ocean Shore Ave near Sandollar on October 15th. They were only able to clear the drain on the North side of the street. There was a vehicle blocking access to the drain on the South side. I have lived here since May and have seen Ocean Shore flood over the sidewalks at least 3 times since then. I know it's a tough situation and we are battling the natural order of things. I am thankful however that we did not experience the kind of flooding that Cape Story had to deal with.
