Prep for paving of Street at 817 Grand Ave now has street 6 inches below the curb cut. It dangerous and very difficult to even enter Parking lot. Needs process added temporarily. Been like this a week waiting for paving.

And if that date could be up to a month out, that's purely insane.
I've never seen a road left milled this long before repaving. And it could remain this way for even more weeks?
It's very bad for cars, but absolute hell on a bike. This is a bike/walk heavy neighborhood. Marked crosswalks are gone, right in the prime summer season when people are walking from downtown to Wooster Square Park & Wooster St Restaurants. Farmer's market too.
Slap in the face to the walking/biking community, and Wooster Square residents & businesses. Not a good look, basically contrary to everything we supposedly want to promote here.

Was told that there was a meeting in progress about this situation right at the time of my call.
Definitely agree, more people need to call. I hope that city representatives are also calling their contacts in state gov't (higher up than we can) on behalf of the neighborhood residents.
