How long are all the materials just going to sit in the front yard? We have a decent looking neighborhood and it would be nice if the City of Lansing enforced the ordinances. Especially, when it comes to all these unregistered rentals.
Over a week and still materials sit in the front yard of this unregistered rental and eyesore. Can we go put it in Benero's lawn? I mean it's so nice to look at.
It appears there was a stop to the work; however, all the supplies have been sitting in the yard for weeks now. The owner of the home owns the home on Harding Ave/Tisdale also and both are unregistered rentals. It would be nice if the City made them clean up the small house and have the dumpster removed that has been sitting there for months now.
Code Compliance issued a letter to the property owner on September 20th. The owner has seven days to clean up the site. At the end of the seven day Code will reinspect the property and if not taken care the City will have their contractor clean up the site and the owner will be charged for the work.
What about these unregistered rentals. A guy came up to me trying to buy mine. He said he has 10 and everyone he knows has lots. He said they dont bother claiming them because he would have to pay tax on revenue.
A permit was pulled for this location for a tear-off and re-roof. I will follow-up with Building Safety as whether the inspection was done. The permit was pulled on Oct. 3rd.
