I agree. If the cobblestones are supposed to be a historic quality to the city of Jersey City, then they PSEG should be responsable enough to restore it, otherwise pave the entire street evenly.

The Jersey City MUA will follow-up with a field inspection to determine responsibility.

I am a new home owner in the area and only received the information from neighbors. Isn't there a way the city can confirm via their records who did the work and when?

With all due respect, this is a disgrace. How can this drag on for so long? It seems PSEG does work and caps the holes haphazardly. The entire street should be asphalted and call it a day. SMH...

All utility infrastructure must be upgraded prior to any restoration so that once we restore the brick, the street will not need to be dug up again for a long time. We have asked PSE&G and MUA to complete all infrastructure improvements so that we can complete a full restoration in Summer/Fall of this year.
