Deskripsyon

A property located at 86 Griffith Street has a large locust tree whose branches hit my bedroom window and wall, The tree blocks daylight from entering my apt. The tree also releases huge quantities of pollen which causes me to suffer respiratory problems, I have not received any response from a certified mail sent to Dixon Realty who manages the property or to phone calls. Please advise me on how this issue can be resolved. Thank you.

Ms. Mintner, have you contacted your buildings maintenance, as anything that comes across the buildings property line the can have cut back to the property line. I am assuming the tree is located in 86 Griffith Street's backyard.

I contacted the management company's maintenance. One sent a small man with a two step ladder to cut the branches that were out of his reach and he nearly fell off the ladder. The second one took photos and contacted his boos who told him to contact the management company. I contacted the condo board president who ask me to resolve the problem as she was busy with other commitments.

Mrs. Minter, I am sure the Parks & Playgrounds was a mistake. Probably meant to say Forestry. As I said, there is really nothing we can do, but I do hope you find a solution.

That looks like a sumac , stag horn sumac possibly. Anyway it is a severe allergen for many people. That is not a tree. It is a noxious weed and a summons for high weeds should be issued.

This looks like smooth sumac. A plant that makes a small tree, it is in the poison sumac family. Unlike some of its ornamental brothers, it is a very bad weed. The odor of the plant is so strong it can easily induce asthma. It is a weed and they should have it eradicated.
