Have a plainclothes cop show up randomly and hand out tickets. Might take a bite out of littering.

Thanks for reporting. We have recently changed some of our staff schedules to ensure that we also have weekend coverage. In addition, the new vendor ordinance has created an account to fund additional cleanup. Trash is still a challenge due to the volume and behaviors, if specific problems occur please open a new issue.

I think the City has been doing an amazing job. I work on Long Wharf and see the City employees (multiple) out there usually early in the morning on Mondays picking up the trash. I saw them again this morning (Tuesday). It is a shame, but honestly I think a lot of the trash is from the crows and seagulls who literally pull the garbage out of the receptacles that become overflowing from the large crowds during the beautiful weekends. This weekend was gorgeous--the trash was super bad on Monday 4/24. Such a shame.
